- The West Buckland campus is set on 100 acres of Devon countryside near Exmoor National Park and the surfing paradise of Woolacombe Beach. Resilience, curiosity, kindness, honesty and respect are pillars of the school, which was founded in 1858 to provide a public school education for the sons of farmers.
- GCSE and A-level results have been among the best in the southwest for several years. The five-year average for A-levels gaining A* to B grades is 72 per cent.
- The school, which is now coeducational, has a partnership with the Agoro Oyombe school in Kenya, facilitating ongoing student trips. It is part of the school’s participation in the United Nations’ Merit First, an initiative with sustainable development goals.
