- Wellsway School, near Bristol, was formed in 1971 through the merger of Keynsham Grammar School and Wellsway County Secondary School. It became an academy in 2011 and is part of the Futura Learning Partnership.
- Today it educates about 1,300 pupils, the majority of whom are able to walk or cycle to school. During its last full Ofsted inspection it was judged to be good.
- The school’s sixth form is part of a collaboration called Futura Sixth, in which pupils can “choose the school they would like to become their home centre” from three locations. A range of A-levels, Cambridge Technicals and BTecs are available.
- Extracurricular activities include coding and debating clubs, mindfulness sessions, ukulele groups and a range of sports.
