- Forward-looking, with traditional values, TWGGS aims to provide a full and balanced education for life. Expectations of all the girls aged 11 to 18 are high.
- There is a strong “sport for all” ethos, from recreational participation to county competition. In 2024, the under-14 hockey team became national champions.
- Girls are encourage to join the Combined Cadet Force (CCF), which has grown from 11 cadets in 2012 to more than 200 across the army and navy units. Silver and gold levels of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award offer a challenge from year 10.
- Two qualified counsellors come to the school every week to offer sessions by appointment for those who need extra support. Sixth-formers also take on the role of mentors for younger pupils.
