- Formed in 1984 following the closure of two local schools, Trinity CoE High School educates 1,500 boys and girls.
- The school’s sixth form opened in 2016 and its £3 million purpose-built centre includes catering and leisure facilities as well as a study centre.
- Sixth-formers are organised into small tutorial groups of 15 with support provided by tutors. They are offered 27 subjects to choose from across A-level and BTec Level 3 options, including philosophy, economics, criminology and health and social care.
- A wide range of clubs are provided for pupils to explore and develop new interests, among them microelectronics, sewing and chess, string group, gospel choir and dodgeball.
- The annual “activities week” sees pupils get involved with a variety of extracurriculars, with year 8s spending time in the Peak District, year 10s enjoying work experience placements and year 12s attending university taster days.
