- The co-ed boarding and day school in Long Eaton, Derbyshire, is noted for its modern boarding approach: more than 80 per cent of flexi and weekly boarders live up to a 45-minute drive away. Established in 1868, its foundation stone was laid by William Cavendish, 7th Duke of Devonshire, and today the school retains its ties with the Devonshires; the 12th duke is president of the board of governors.
- Trent College educates pupils aged 11-18 and has a focus on humanities, languages, sciences and the creative arts. In 2025 there was a 100 per cent pass rate at A-level: 35.9 per cent of A-levels achieved were A*-A and 68 per cent were awarded grades A*-B.
- A variety of scholarships are available, including those for academics, for art, drama, music, sport and for choral excellence. Means-tested bursaries are also available.
