- Boys have been able to join the sixth form since September 2025 at this selective girls’ academy with a 120-year history. The school likes to keep its legends alive: today’s pupils retell legends like the low whistle in a certain wind, attributed to a teacher who didn’t want to move to a new sports hall. Students rub the padlock on the nose of a rhino statue called Sir Lockselot in the foyer for luck in exams.
- Fundraising is a huge part of the school’s identity. The annual Charity Week is led by students, and the school has supported the Imprezza Academy in Kenya for 20 years through an annual sponsored walk and other events.
- Guest speakers are invited to inspire pupils under the careers programme. Students can join many extracurricular groups, including the Mary Anning Club for budding palaeontologists, dance, craft, music, sport and drama clubs.
- The reality TV star Georgia Toffolo is a former pupil.
