- The Piggott School, a Church of England academy school in Berkshire was founded in 1939. Together with its primary school site, it educates about 1,800 girls and boys. In 2023 Ofsted judged it to be a good school. It is, says headteacher Rebecca Alexander, a “place where we listen to each other, our voices are heard, we celebrate diversity and we take pride in the promotion of inclusion.”
- The school is a member of the Mandarin Excellence Programme and the language is taught from year 7 upwards, with the opportunity to enjoy a Chinese exchange for years 10 and 11.
- In 2025 sixth form pupils achieved 32 per cent of grades at A*-A and 65 per cent of grades at A*-B.
- Supporting local charities and organisations is a priority for the school. During the Christmas season, pupils write Christmas cards and visit local care homes to spread holiday cheer through singing and donating homemade brownies.
