What the school inspection says

“The school aims to anchor a 21st-century education within the continuing history of the oldest school in the country … Pupils achieve outstanding academic results, combining this with extensive extracurricular success. They are enthusiastic and passionate learners who make sustained contributions to the sense of intellectual excitement within the school. Pupils demonstrate clear awareness that the decisions they make as young people may affect not only their success at school but also their personal futures. They show integrity and have a clear sense of justice.” There was a regulatory compliance visit in 2020, a short visit in 2022, a routine inspection in 2024 and additional visit in 2025.
