- Founded in 1888 by the Worshipful Company of Skinners, the school is named after Sir Andrew Judde, the 16th-century mayor of London whose endowment to the guild helped fund the school.
- The school’s maxim “Learn, grow, belong” sits alongside the biblical motto on its badge: Deus dat incrementum (“God gives growth”).
- A new sixth form centre comprises a large study area for students, with meeting spaces and offices for the staff team who support them.
- The school has 26 acres of playing fields, including seven rugby pitches and two cricket squares, plus all-weather pitches.
- Extracurricular activities include the Combined Cadet Force and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award as well as numerous sports, music and drama opportunities and an array of clubs from debating to programming.
- In 2025, 53.9 per cent of sixth form students achieved three A-level grades A*-A, including a total of 269 A* grades, representing 28.6 per cent of all results.
- Old Juddians include the Nobel prizewinning physicist Cecil Powell and former chief of the defence staff Terence Lewin.
