- Douay Martyrs is part of the Diocese of Westminster Academy Trust. It admits pupils of all faiths and backgrounds, although priority is given to baptised Catholic children. The motto is “Through faith to success”.
- All students take GCSE religious studies as well as the EBacc subjects. GCSE options include business studies, computer science, media studies and sociology.
- Several Deep Learning Days are run each year to build on students’ cultural capital and aid their personal development. There is also an annual Culture Day, for which students can dress in traditional clothing to show their heritage, try foods from around the world and engage with international literature.
- Volunteer student ambassadors in each year group are split into working parties to address issues such as mental health, the environment and bullying. Older pupils can also become careers ambassadors and join the year 7 transition team.
- Charity work and fundraising are a big part of school life, whether through cake sales and readathons or bag-packing at nearby supermarkets and the community service project Faith in Action.
