- Oxford’s leading state secondary has a “no limits” ethos. There is no uniform and young people are encouraged to be themselves.
- The sixth form is accredited as a European Parliament Ambassador School, recognised for its citizenship and advocacy programmes.
- The school’s sustainability group organises the planting of hedgerows and trees across the school’s two sites, which are divided by a busy road but linked by an underpass.
- There is a wide range of clubs — art, cooking, creative writing, computing and robotics, a languages magazine, junior leadership, manga and comics, and book group — on top of music, drama and sport. The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme continues to grow in popularity.
- Wellbeing workshops are held for students in Years 9-11 and there are peer supporters and specialist services too.
