- This Catholic school in West Kensington, west London, has a global reputation for music. The Schola Cantorum, which sings at the school’s Wednesday morning mass, also performs at the Royal Opera House and Royal Albert Hall, and tours annually — recently to Australia and South Africa, as well as American and European cities.
- The standard of instrumental music is also very high at this boys’ school, which has girls in the sixth form. More than 400 instrumental and singing lessons are given each week. There are junior and senior ensembles, orchestras and a big band, which has regular international tours and has performed at major London concert halls and jazz festivals.
- There is a profound Catholic ethos and a tradition of excellent academic outcomes (45 per cent of A-levels were graded A*/A in 2024).
- Sport is also strong, from house competitions to international tours every two years. Pupils also have the opportunity to attend England rugby internationals and Wimbledon tennis championships on school trips.
- Sixth-formers are encouraged to work with local businesses and charities to raise money for those in need. The school charity, the Vaughan Association, helps to provide extracurricular facilities and extra support.
