What the school inspection says

The inspection was affected by industrial action. The ETI said: “Most of the pupils ... were confident, articulate and highly motivated. The pupils gain leadership skills through taking on roles and responsibilities … including senior office bearers and peer mentoring roles ... Across all key stages [they] benefit from a broad and balanced curriculum which is ... being developed in response to extensive consultation with the pupils, an analysis of labour market information and the school’s commitment to … meet[ing] the needs and aspirations of all of the pupils … [Those] entitled to free school meals and those who have additional needs with aspects of their learning attain in line with their peers.”

*Ofsted no longer makes an overall effectiveness judgment in inspections of state-funded schools. A five-point grading scale, including a new “exceptional” grade was introduced in November 2025.
