Pupils have excellent attitudes to their studies and engage wholeheartedly in all areas of learning, demonstrating high levels of intellectual curiosity ... Pupils of all ages show exemplary attitudes towards their academic endeavours and … high levels of perseverance, resilience and confidence in their approach to their studies … Pupils at all levels enthusiastically participate in the extensive co-curricular programme ... Pupils have very well-developed self-awareness, self-confidence and resilience through exceptionally positive and well-developed relationships with staff and each other … Pupils celebrate the inclusivity and diversity of their school as a result of the high level of mutual respect within the community.” There was a short visit in 2023.

About the school

  • Stephen Perse Senior School is a co-ed day and boarding school in Cambridge. In 2024, 53 per cent of its GCSE results were the top grades of 8 or 9, while 72 per cent were graded 7 and above.
  • Music, theatre, film studies, art and computing are among the clubs on offer, plus sports from futsal and fencing to archery and athletics.
  • Pupils have regular meetings with their tutor, with whom they work closely. There are two on-site counsellors and the school fosters mentoring partnerships between younger and older students.
  • Trips abroad in 2024 included visiting Seville, where students developed their language skills, and Japan, where the school has a longstanding scholarship exchange programme with a school in Fujisawa, about 30 miles south of Tokyo.
