- Founded in 1904 by the Worshipful Company of Mercers, St Paul’s Girls’ School has a long history of producing alumni who go on to make significant contributions to their fields, from the scientist Rosalind Franklin, whose work was central to the discovery of the structure of DNA, to the actresses Rachel Weisz and Emily Mortimer.
- Students regularly volunteer with the school’s partner organisations. Under the Primary Hub initiative, Year 10 and 12 students mentor pupils at local primary schools, helping with maths, English and other activities.
- Popular extracurricular clubs include the dissection society as well as clubs for AI and medical ethics, coding, improv and Japanese. The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme, debating and Model United Nations form part of the co-curricular landscape, and there are sports, music and drama programmes.Student-inspired initiatives include ReStore — a sustainable second-hand fashion store that also hires out PE kit to pupils who have lost or forgotten something — and a student magazine.
- St Paul’s Girls’ is continually improving its pastoral support, with an emphasis on early intervention.
