- Musical education is a key part of life at St Joseph’s College, a co-ed day school in Reading, and the programme is enriched by a partnership with the world-class London Mozart Players.
- A thriving co-curricular programme builds on the school’s five Cs – commitment, collaboration, confidence, compassion and communication – and covers the arts, sports, outdoor learning, Stem and Hale (humanities and language enrichment).
- Pupils take part in the Model United Nations competition and have won highly commended awards for their well-researched and pertinent contributions in the science and youth committees.
- The importance of mental health is taught through PSHE lessons, collective worship and times of reflection. A robust pastoral structure of tutors and wellbeing staff is complemented by the services of a chaplain and the wellbeing centre to help to manage concerns from workload to friendships and bereavement.
- Former students of the school include the singer Marianne Faithfull.
