- St Dominic’s was established on the Falls Road by the Dominican Sisters Cabra, from Dublin, in 1870.
- The school encourages pupils to volunteer as ambassadors for organisations such as Concern Worldwide and the Catholic NGO Trócaire.
- Since 2023 St Dominic’s has been part of the Catalyst Schools programme, which builds links with business to help improve pupils’ education and prepare them for the workplace.
- The school is the first in Northern Ireland to be awarded the Research Mark Plus kitemark by the Chartered College of Teaching, recognising a commitment to research and evidence-based learning.
