What the school inspection says

The ETI carried out an inspection at a time of industrial action so there is no finding of overall effectiveness. The outcomes for learners and leadership and management were found to be outstanding. “The pupils are articulate and confident; they display strong self-belief, have high expectations of themselves and are motivated to achieve their best … They are very well-prepared for the next stage of their learning … The pupils have access to consistently effective, appropriately challenging, well-planned lessons which promote excellent progression … [The senior leadership team] are driven by a shared, visionary mission which ensures that the academic and pastoral needs of all of the pupils are met. The life chances of the pupils are significantly increased through the provision of a wealth of high-quality educational experiences.”

*Ofsted no longer makes an overall effectiveness judgment in inspections of state-funded schools. A five-point grading scale, including a new “exceptional” grade was introduced in November 2025.
