About the school

  • Sherborne School in Dorset can trace its history back more than 1,000 years, which makes it one of the oldest schools in the country. It is proud to “preserve a space in which boys can simply be boys”, and has a second branch of schools in Qatar.
  • The day and boarding school has a tradition of success in sport and music, and offers golf, fives, shooting and polo alongside other team sports as well as Trinity College music diplomas and Grade 8 exams. 
  • The Extended Project Qualification is offered in addition to IGCSEs and international A-levels, alongside HSK Mandarin. 
  • A lecture series on wellbeing covers subjects including mental health, online safety and screen time, and is run in conjunction with Sherborne Girls. The school has also appointed a head of equality, diversity and inclusion. 
  • Scholarships for up to 10 per cent fee remission are available, as is means-tested financial assistance.
