- RGS Guildford is a day school for boys aged 3-18 which dates back to 1509. Between 2017 and 2024, 166 students gained an Oxbridge place.
- The oldest English book in its historic Chained Library was printed in about 1500, and there are two early editions of Sir Isaac Newton’s Principia.
- The school nurtures a can-do attitude, preparing pupils for the future by taking them out of their comfort zone through more than 70 clubs and societies and co-curricular challenges, ranging from cooking a curry from scratch, to tackling a muddy assault course or delivering a talk to peers on a sensitive topical issue.
- Proud of its grammar-school roots, the school offers means-tested bursaries covering up to 100 per cent of the fees.
- Notable former pupils include the cricketer and captain of the England Under-19 team, Ben Brown, the actor and writer Ben Okri, the former MP James Purnell and Major Tom Archer-Burton.
