- Established in 1903, Roundhay School in Leeds aims to produce pupils who become “Recognisably Roundhay”, meaning they contribute positively to school and society, and who continue to learn and grow long after they leave. The school is a member of the Red Kite Alliance, a partnership of Yorkshire schools working together to share expertise and raise standards.
- An e-safety curriculum ensures all pupils are taught how to stay safe online and know what to do if they feel uncomfortable or unsafe.
- During Year 9, pupils are invited to apply for positions as ambassadors in areas including community, culture, health, the environment, sports and heritage.
- The school has its own radio station, Roundhay Radio, and a “kindness charter”, a school-wide pledge to treat everyone with respect, empathy, and fairness.
