- Redmaids’ was formed by the merging of two girls’ schools in 2016, but its heritage dates from 1634, making it the oldest-surviving girls’ school in the UK.
- Set on a 12-acre campus in Bristol, the school runs a range of sporting activities during lunchtimes, after school and at weekends, including badminton, basketball, cross-country running, dance, football, gymnastics, swimming and tennis. Teams are particularly competitive in hockey, netball, cricket and athletics. An outdoor adventures programme offers surfing, kayaking, orienteering, bouldering and more.
- Music is integral to school life with 20 ensembles rehearsing weekly, regular concerts, a house music competition and an annual performing arts production. Other clubs include trampolining, language, philosophy, science, craft, chess, a Pride group and more.
- Additional qualifications offered to students include Btecs in food and nutrition, a wide range of AS-levels, creative writing, sports leadership and Level 3 maths, as well as the Higher Project Qualification and the Extended Project Qualification.
- Financial assistance is available at all senior school entry points and awarded on a tiered basis. The school offers its own Athena development grants that can be claimed for any subject, pursuit or interest.
