About the school

  • Founded in 2011 and now part of the Dukes Education group, the school is located beside the Thames at Pope’s Villa. The house dates from the 1840s and was built on the site where the poet Alexander Pope once lived.
  • The grade II* listed grotto Pope built in the 1720s still exists beneath the buildings.
  • The school is an active participant in the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy scheme, which aims to provide students with business skills and experience. It sends students to take part in the national Tycoon Enterprise Competition, in which teams create and implement a business plan using a goodwill loan.
  • Sports equipment and training have been boosted by agreements with Teddington Cricket Club to share its facilities, including a new pavilion, and with St Mary’s University for athletics, girls’ hockey and netball.
  • From September 2025 the upper school will move to Kneller Hall, the former home of the Royal Military School of Music, with Pope’s Villa remaining the site of the prep school.
