- Academic challenge and fulfilling co-curricular activities mark out this selective coeducational school. All ages mix in the six houses, which compete in sports, drama, art, music and public speaking.
- Many pupils play more than one instrument, and seven musical ensembles contribute to spring and Christmas concerts.
- Sport is a big part of school life. QEHS was awarded the Youth Sport Trust Gold Quality Mark and the National School Games Gold Award for 2023-24. Teams have had success in their leagues in football, netball, badminton, handball, golf, rounders, cricket and equestrian events.
- Pupils get a glimpse of life far beyond their classroom in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. There are about 70 school trips each year and the chance to join expeditions run by Camps International across Africa, Asia and South America. Strong links with schools in Tanzania, Kenya and China lead to trips and exchanges, and joint music and art projects. QEHS holds the British Council’s International School Award 2023-26.
