- The mixed school opened in 1967, the result of two single-sex schools merging. It is proud to continue a tradition of grammar school education in Faversham that dates to 1527, while adding a positive attitude towards change.

- Excellent sports facilities include a sports hall and gym, tennis courts, fitness suites and extensive grass pitches. School teams have achieved county and national honours in athletics, badminton, cricket, fencing, football, golf, gymnastics, judo, roller hockey, sailing, swimming, taekwondo and table tennis.
