- Princethorpe, a Catholic day school, is near Rugby and opened in 1966, occupying a former Benedictine monastery in 200 acres of parkland. Girls were admitted in 1976 and the school became fully coeducational in 1995.
- Over the past 20 years, much development has come to the school – a new sixth form centre in 2007 and a multi-use teaching block in 2014.
- Specialist tuition is offered for Send pupils via qualified and experienced learning support teachers and assistants. High-performing year 11 pupils have the opportunity to visit the universities of Oxford or Cambridge. Additionally, the Oxbridge Programme is run in tandem with the careers department to inspire top achievers to aim for the best universities.
- Scholarships are available in academics, art, performing art and sport. All-rounder scholarships can be awarded at the headmaster’s discretion, and awards for those entering the sixth form are also given, all with a maximum fee reduction of 50 per cent. Means-tested bursaries are available too.
