- Selective boys’ school Poole Grammar was established as Poole Secondary School in 1904 and became a grammar school in 1927. It is twinned with all-girls Parkstone Grammar School in Poole, with whom it collaborates on large-scale music theatre productions and other clubs and activities.
- Sixth form pupils generally sit three A-levels as well as a smaller fourth subject which could be the Extended Project Qualification or as AS level in further mathematics or a modern foreign language.
- A wide range of clubs are offered, from climbing to gardening, model railway club to the Model United Nations group. The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is also on the menu.
- The school’s motto, Finis Opus Coronat — “The end crowns the work” reflects “a dedication to excellence and the holistic development of our students”.
