- Founded in 1930 by Jessie Cross — a pioneer in single-sex education — the school began with just 11 girls. There are 605 students enrolled at present.
- The school’s key values include a growth mindset, the development of resilience in an imperfect world and impeccable manners.

- The school says it prioritises emotional and mental health, encouraging students who feel overwhelmed to “take five minutes” in the Wellbeing Room — a peaceful, calming space with plants, soft music and sensory activities.
- In 2020, Pipers Corner launched its own radio station with the help of the BBC broadcaster Gabby Logan and Sam Pinkham of Virgin Radio.
