- Outwood Academy Easingwold was founded as Easingwold School in 1784 and is now run by Outwood Grange Academies Trust. It educates almost 800 boys and girls aged 11 to 18.
- Additional provision is given to the most able pupils and the school’s curriculum is “designed to enable students to fast-track as appropriate”.
- The curriculum promotes the international “Random Acts of Kindness” movement which encourages everyone to be kind to one another.
- The trust has a number of “post 16 centres” that provide a range of academic and vocational opportunities, “as well as opportunities for personal development”. Pupils have the opportunity to complete the Extended Project Qualification, and extracurricular activities including debating teams and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award are hosted. Two-year T-levels, an alternative to A-levels, are also offered.
