Pupils of all ages and abilities are successful in their academic achievements ... Pupils grow in confidence, self-knowledge, self-esteem and resilience … Senior school pupils display … a clear sense of how to improve their own learning due to target setting and the supportive, affirmative and collaborative learning culture ... Firm appreciation for the non-material aspects of life is strengthened both by the curriculum and the extracurricular programme ... Pupils make excellent positive contributions to the lives of others within the school and the local and wider communities.” There was a short visit in 2022 and a routine inspection in 2024.

About the school

  • The school’s new sports complex has a gym, Pilates studio, indoor hockey pitch and basketball and badminton courts.
  • As part of the Bright Girls Bright Futures partnership, senior pupils collaborate with students at local state primaries, inspiring those with an interest in Stem subjects.
  • There are more than 40 extracurricular offerings, from book, pet and chess clubs to ballet and dissection.
  • In recent years, there have been trips to Bletchley Park, Cern, Antigua and Spain, outdoor challenges in Morocco and Wales, and performing arts trips to London and New York.
  • Six Send teachers and TAs offer tailored support to pupils. There are 17 youth mental health first-aiders, 29 wellbeing ambassadors, sixth-form wellbeing prefects and Mental Health Foundation Peer Educators.
