About the school

  • At Notting Hill & Ealing High School in west London, the Green Stem Challenge links sixth-form scientists with students from five neighbouring academies to research and present solutions for environmental challenges, mentored by graduate students from Imperial College London.
  • The Buds Saturday morning enrichment scheme enables talented local children in Year 5 to expand their science, English, maths and creative-thinking skills.
  • About 140 clubs and activities run every week, many led by students, from a psychology discussion group to a dissection club. The breadth of sports and number of teams means that about 90 per cent of Year 7 students represent the school.
  • Young musicians can join ensembles, a symphony orchestra and rock bands, and thespians can get involved in all aspects of drama productions.
  • Means-tested bursaries covering up to 100 per cent of fees are offered at Year 7 and Year 12 entry. Academic, music and sport scholarships are also offered at ages 11 and 16, with drama, art and all-rounder scholarships for those joining the sixth form.
