- The school’s name comes from its location on the edge of Nonsuch Park, formerly the grounds of Henry VIII’s palace, which was so called because there was “none such place like it” in Europe.
- Nonsuch is one of two schools that provides ball girls for the Queen’s Club tennis championships.
- The school opened in 1938 with a capacity of 490. It now has more than 1,500 pupils.
- Nonsuch has its own observatory on the roof, used by a local astronomical society as well as the school.
- Former pupils include the musician Katie Melua and the Sunday Times journalist Christina Lamb.
