- Quoting Lao Tzu’s famous maxim that your character “becomes your destiny”, the school believes that developing the ability to make good choices, alongside academic attainment, should be the purpose of education.
- The school has a coeducational sixth form in a designated block with separate study and café facilities. Sixth-formers run 13 lunchtime societies throughout the school, including groups with a focus on Afro-Caribbean or South Asian culture, social justice, feminism and Pride.
- Over half (57 per cent) of 2024 A-level entries in 2024 were awarded A*-A grades, and 84 per cent achieved A*-B grades. Twelve students headed to Oxbridge colleges.
