- Founded as a boys’ grammar school on its multi-acre campus in 1495, Loughborough High School has been a grammar school for girls since 1850, and now has in the region of 520 day pupils aged 11 to 18 on roll.
- Part of the Loughborough Schools Foundation, the school shares its Leicestershire campus with the charitable foundation’s two other independent senior schools, two prep schools and a nursery.
- The five schools have the same vision and educational ethos, supported by a combined board of governors, to promote the “best of both worlds”, combining single-sex education with co-ed opportunities such as drama and music with the boys’ grammar and co-ed school on site.
- Notable former pupils include the comedian Rachel Parris and the tennis player Katie Boulter.
