- The school opened in 1956 in a building constructed to an experimental reinforced concrete design. A rebuilding project of about £18 million was completed in 2021.
- New facilities include a design technology workshop and graphics rooms; a textiles/art textiles room; a 3D-art room with a kiln; computing/ICT rooms; a main hall with retractable seating; a dance studio; a music room and practice rooms; a dining room; a library; and a sixth form study space.
- Extracurricular activities include sports, music and drama and range from the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme to chess.
- Since 2017 Langley has been an Apple Distinguished School in recognition of its use of technology to aid learning.
- As one of the Teaching School Hubs for Berkshire, Langley Grammar is a centre for teacher training and development across about 350 schools in the local area.
