- Landau Forte’s name comes from its two founding sponsors, The Landau Charitable Foundation and the hotel and catering group, Rocco Forte & Family, reflecting its original links to industry and business.
- Opened in 1992 as one of the first City Tech Colleges before becoming an academy in 2005, Landau Forte is consistently rated outstanding by Ofsted. Inspectors highlight the students’ exceptional attitudes to learning and the high attainment levels throughout the college.
- Alongside their GCSEs, year 9-11 students can take WJEC level 1/2 Hospitality and Catering, a foundation certificate for further qualifications in the industry, such as a level 2 Diploma in Professional Cookery.
- The college employs a vertical tutoring system, with students from years 7-11 placed in the same tutor groups to encourage inter-year collaboration and the building of strong relationships between pupils, parents and the college.
- Many students secure places at prestigious universities in the UK and abroad, such as Harvard, Cambridge, Oxford and Russell Group institutions.
