About the school

  • More than 150 extracurricular activities are on offer, including Combined Cadet Force, creative arts and sport to a symphony orchestra, spirituality club and bridge.
  • At the school’s Make A Difference Day, pupils and colleagues show their commitment to helping others with their annual food drive, providing more than 1,000 meals for those in need.
  • The library runs book clubs and a pupil librarian work experience scheme.
  • Pupils remain in the same tutor group with the same tutor for five years. There is a peer-mentoring and wellbeing ambassador scheme, and a dedicated wellbeing space.
  • Means-tested bursaries of up to 100 per cent of fees are offered at 11+,13+ and 16+, as well as support with additional costs such as uniforms, equipment and trips. Academic scholarships are awarded for exceptional performances in the entry process; sport and music scholarships after assessments and auditions. Additional scholarships are available for art and drama.
