About the school

  • King Edward’s, the alma mater of the comedian Bill Bailey, is a co-ed day school that aims to be the greenest in Bath, launching policies and making investments in solar energy, sustainable food sourcing and electric vehicles.
  • A thriving co-curricular programme includes groups for esports, debating, coding and the National Cipher Challenge.
  • Partnerships with Bath Rugby Academy, Bath Cricket Club and Bath Philharmonia enhance the sports and music provision. And an annual activities week includes trips to Pompeii, Berlin and Kenya.
  • The Learning for Life initiative equips pupils to navigate adolescence, from developing healthy friendships to making wise choices, while staff and experts lead seminars for parents and carers.
  • Means-tested bursaries are available and support about a fifth of senior pupils. There are also scholarships for students who excel in art, drama, music, sport and academia.
