About the school

  • The college is a founding member of the West Kent Independent State School Partnership, a group of secondary schools, comprising state schools, a special school and an independent school. The partnership broadens learning and enrichment opportunities for students outside the curriculum — sharing resources, facilities and knowledge.
  • In the Sixth Form, the Honours Programme requires students to contribute to the wider community through work experience and volunteering.
  • Taking place before, during and after school, extra-curricular activities range from sport, music and dance clubs to groups for Stem subjects, enterprise and humanities.
  • There is always someone to talk to, including student managers, pastoral leads, the head of sixth form, Sendco (special educational needs and/or disabilities coordinator), the school nurse and two school counsellors.
  • The school offers means-tested bursary support from Year 7, a 5 per cent sibling discount and academic, art, dance, drama, music and sport scholarships.
