*Ofsted no longer makes an overall effectiveness judgment in inspections of state-funded schools. A five-point grading scale, including a new “exceptional” grade was introduced in November 2025.

About the school

More than 80 extracurricular opportunities are on offer across sport, the arts and student leadership.
The Creative Arts Festival involves more than 250 students, while up to 120 students are involved in the school play.
The school offers Level 3 qualifications in criminology, applied science and media studies, and BTecs in sport, health and social care, and IT. Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), core maths and Level 3 sports leadership, and the Schools, Students and Teachers Network (SSAT) leadership qualification are also offered.
