- Holcombe Grammar is a selective state secondary school based in Chatham, Kent, that takes pupils from an increasingly diverse community across Medway, north Kent and southeast London. Currently boys-only, with a mixed sixth form, it will start admitting girls throughout the school in 2026.
- Arts are a particular focus for the school, which has received a silver Artsmark award, a nationally recognised accreditation bestowed by Arts Council England to schools and education settings for their commitment to the arts.
- Pupils have the opportunity to join the Medway Victory Sea Cadets from Year 7 and to embark on the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme from Year 9.
- Holcombe Grammar has achieved a Gold Unicef Rights Respecting School Award (RRSA), presented when a school demonstrates that children’s rights are fully embedded into the whole school’s practice. The judges said the children felt listened to, that their views mattered and that they could make a positive difference, with several ways for pupils to be involved in decision-making and leadership in school life.
