Verdict
Excellent
“The school aims to provide full and enriching opportunities, and instil in pupils a lifelong love of learning, ambition and resilience in facing the challenges they will meet, assisted by a supportive and friendly community, where everyone is known and treated as an individual. Pupils demonstrate a high level of achievement in their academic studies and through their co-curricular commitments. The high level of attainment is a consequence of the pupils’ excellent attitudes to learning, supported by teaching which shows a high level of subject knowledge. Pupils demonstrate very high levels of self-confidence in their academic studies and in their lives beyond the classroom. They develop excellent social skills and employ these effectively in their work and play.” there was an additional report in 2024.

  • Hill House, in Doncaster, was founded in 1912 as a boys’ prep school. It has inhabited its present site, on the former RAF station at Finningley, since 2008.
  • The motto is Sapientia et doctrina (“Wisdom and knowledge”).
  • A £1 million sports pavilion opened in January 2023. The latest phase of school expansion includes the New Court building, opened in October 2024, which houses new music and art schools and a fitness suite, and has made space for an enlarged sixth form and senior common rooms.
