- Opened in 2000, the school has gained a reputation for excellence with A-level and GCSE results among the strongest in north London. It has sent students to Oxbridge for the past five years and almost all sixth-formers are accepted by their first or second-choice universities.
- The school has a deaf resource base with 20 pupils. Lessons in British Sign Language are available to hearing staff and students.
- Lessons finish early on Wednesday afternoons for the Ed-Extra programme for Year 7-8, when there are Stem activities, sports, creative subjects and music. The girls’ football teams regularly win at county level and the school recently started a rugby team and hired a basketball coach.
- Each year the 1,600 students take “Dare” days — named for the school’s values: determination, aspiration, respect and equality. Team-building activities, gallery visits and careers coaching are on the agenda.
