- Founded in 1915 by a group of evangelical Christians, Headington School merged with the prep school Rye St Antony in 2024. The day and boarding school is now coeducational for ages 3-11 and girls-only up to the age of 18. In the senior school, 25 per cent are boarders and international students come from 46 countries.
- The Hive, opened in 2021, is the school’s creativity and innovation centre, with studio space for art and fashion and room for exhibitions and workshops.
- There are more than 120 weekly extracurricular activities to choose from. Creative writing, entrepreneurship, street dance or robotics are on the list. By the time they reach the sixth form, many girls run their own clubs.
- Scholarships are available at 11-plus, 13-plus and 16-plus, and a special award for rowing is available for sixth-form girls. The actress Emma Watson is a former pupil.
