- Traditions such as the annual pantomime, house song, carol service, wellbeing week and farm visits are highlights of the school year at the 1,000-strong school which aims to be “inspiring, dynamic and fun”.
- Girls aged from 4-18 are encouraged to make the most of the opportunities on offer. More than 70 extracurricular clubs take place each week, from interior design to coding, indoor rowing and the award-winning Green Team.
- Sustainability has been a recent focus, and the school gained an Eco-Schools Green Flag award with distinction in 2023.
- Over 500 weekly music lessons are provided and the school has a dedicated concert hall, drama studio and recording studio. Pupils perform in concerts and plays throughout the year. Academic and music scholarships are available for those arriving in year 7 and the sixth form.
- Former pupils include the actress Celia Imrie, the founder of Mumsnet Justine Roberts, the journalist Clemmie Moodie and the playwright Lucy Prebble.
