The school seeks to encourage all pupils to make the most of their talents and to become valued members of society. Pupils demonstrate strong academic progress both within lessons and over time as demonstrated in their attainment results. They enjoy an exceptionally rich choice of activities beyond the classroom. Sport plays an enormously important part of school life ... Pupils make excellent decisions in their learning and in all aspects of the wider curriculum. About the school

  • Founded in 1555, Gresham’s is set on a 200-acre estate in an area of outstanding natural beauty, four miles from the north Norfolk coastline.
  • The Dyson Building, opened in 2021, is an innovative centre for STEAM education, made possible by Sir James Dyson, a former pupil.
  • The £3.25 million Britten Building includes classrooms, music practice rooms and a state-of-the-art recording studio. Music students exclusively use world-class Steinway pianos for their studies.
  • Gresham’s 300-seat Auden Theatre, named after the former pupil WH Auden, is complemented by an outdoor performance area.
  • “Wild learning” is championed, with pupils accessing a 21-obstacle Armed Forces-standard assault course, featuring a 91ft climbing tower as its centrepiece.
