- Forest School, a day school in Walthamstow, northeast London, founded in 1834, includes among its core values growth, responsibility, hard work and diversity. Head of the senior school Drew Thomson-Jones describes how “our pupils strive for excellence not only academically and personally, but also understand the importance of leading happy, healthy lives”.
- Extracurricular groups range from air cadets to cheerleading, LGBTQ+ literature to chess, and activities are part of the timetable. The school encourages a high level of participation and achievement in sport, and its facilities have been used by Team GB. Pupils make a contribution to the community through volunteering initiatives and working with local food banks.
