- Farmor’s School was founded in 1738 as Fairford Free School to educate boys. It became coeducational in 1922 and a comprehensive school educating those aged 11 to 18 in 1966.
- It serves a predominantly rural area and is situated in 18-acre grounds.
- Enrichment is a key part of school life, with trips to the National Gallery, the Science Museum and to Warwick Castle offered. World Book Day is celebrated.
- Clubs include photography, creative writing, debating and science club.
- As well as ski trips, sixth-formers can participate in the 3 Peaks Challenge. For those keen on other outdoor pursuits, the school runs the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
