- Founded in 1926, today Ewell Castle is a coeducational day school for pupils aged 4-18. The village of Ewell, near Epsom, is on the London-Surrey border with easy bus and rail links into southwest London.
- The school believes that social and emotional intelligence and communication skills are essential for the 21st century and it runs programmes for girls’ empowerment and positive masculinity. Mindfulness techniques are taught throughout the prep and senior schools.
- Relatively small, with about 650 pupils, the school has four houses for sporting and other competitions including chess, music, drama and debating.
- Former notable pupils include the actor Oliver Reed and the electronic musician Sampha, a former pupil, who opened the school’s music studio after winning the Mercury Prize in 2017.
