About the school

  • The alma mater of the LBC presenter Nick Ferrari and the former Harrow headmaster Barnaby Lenon, co-ed Eltham College is focused on cultivating “a genuine thirst for knowledge” and encouraging critical thinking.
  • There are more than 40 clubs and societies.
  • Almost two-thirds of pupils play at least one musical instrument and the school offers Lamda qualifications as well as Trinity and ABRSM music exams. 
  • The wellbeing curriculum is built around the school’s “5Rs” framework: resilience, respect, relationships, responsibility and readiness. Pupils are supported academically and emotionally by teaching staff as well as a school counsellor and a head of wellbeing.
  • Academic, music, drama, and sport scholarships are available, as are means-tested bursaries.
