- Pupils are assigned to one of six houses — Brontë, Curie, Nightingale, Pankhurst, Teresa or Rosa — which include both teachers and students from every year group and compete in a variety of events, ranging from sports to bake-offs, to win house points that contribute to winning the annual House Cup.
- Music, drama and sports play an important role in students’ lives. The school has five choirs, two orchestras and instrumental chamber ensembles.
- Alumnae include the TV presenter Fern Britton and the lawyer, activist and author Amal Clooney.
